Gross regional product of St. Petersburg had risen to 3,87 trillion roubles in 2017

St. Petersburg takes third place among Russian regions by amount of GRP. Gross regional product (GRP) of St. Petersburg had risen to 3,87 trillion roubles in 2017, and grew by 0,2 percent with comparison to the 2016.

Industry complex (20,5 percent), wholesale and retail trade (17,5 percent), transport and storage complex (10,5 percent) have already been as a main source of GRP.

In the same time, there is an increase of gross added value in sphere of immovable property (the growth by 16,3 percent), in professional, scientific and technical sphere (the growth by 11,6 percent) and in industry complex (the growth by 2,9 percent). As a result, the make up roughly 40,2 percent in all structure of GRP of St. Petersburg.

GRP on a per capita basis is higher than throughout Russia level for 42,5 percent.
